On May 30, 2013, a “Notice of Suspension” was issued to Langdon Locker LLC, Establishment 07622 M, located at 324 6th Street, Langdon, North Dakota. This action was based on your failure to handle animals humanely. This letter confirms the verbal notification you were given on June 3, 2013, by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), Des Moines District Office, that the suspension of the assignment of inspectors for slaughter operations at Langdon Locker LLC, Establishment 07622 M, is now held in abeyance, pending verification by FSIS personnel.

NOTICE of SUSPENSION:

This letter confirms verbal notification given to you, by USDA, Des Moines District, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on May 30, 2013 at approximately 0950 hours, of our decision to suspend the assignment of inspectors for slaughter operations at your firm, Langdon Locker LLC, Est. M7622, located at 324 6th St, Langdon, ND. This action is taken in accordance with the Rules of Practice 9 CFR 500.3(b), which indicates that FSIS can take a withholding action or impose a suspension without providing an establishment prior notification if it is handling or slaughtering animals inhumanely such as, that which occurred at your establishment on May 30,2013.
