Citation: On Monday April 30, 2012 approximately at 0920 hours while performing SPS task, I saw the following non compliance: when I was performing the SPS Task in the shipping and receiving area, I saw a missing tile from the ceiling. I also saw one tile in the blood cooking room was improperly placed on the ceiling. Also, in the storage area, I saw one tile in the wall next to the parking truck was improperly placed and I saw about three holes in the wall between the storage room and the kill floor. QC Personnel was notified of the non compliance. The plant is not in compliance with 9 CFR 416.1 and 9 CFR 416.2(b)(1).

Regulation:

416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.

416.2(b)(1) Establishment buildings, including their structures, rooms, and compartments must be of sound construction, be kept in good repair, and be of sufficient size to allow for processing, handling, and storage of product in a manner that does not result in product adulteration or the creation of insanitary conditions.
