Address: 5190 Main St, South Fallsburg, NY 12779
Establishment No.: p18414
USDA Inspection Report: 11 Jun 2012
Code: 01D01
Violation: 416.1, 416.3(a), 416.4(b)
Citation: At 0735, [redacted] informed me that the
Processing Area was released for Pre-Op SSOP Verification.
Among randomly selected, high risk, areas of inspection was the
Wing Splitter. At 0737 I discovered a black rubber boot
encasing two pivotal joint, movable arms, of the Wing Splitter full
of rusty, greasy liquid. Regulatory control was taken,
affixing USDA Reject tag B39416909 to the Wing Splitter. [redacted]
Night QC, was present and notified immediately. [redacted] Third
Shift Sanitation Manager, contacted maintenance; who removed a
faulty clamp and then cleaned the joint. They replaced
the old clamp with a newer, tighter sealing clamp that will
temporarily prevent rusty liquid accumulation within the
boot and will prevent the grease normally applied to the arm
from escaping the boot and adulterating product. Sanitary
conditions were satisfactorily restored and regulatory control was
released. No product was involved.
This
document serves as written notification that your failure to comply
