Violation:  416.1, 416.2(b)(3), 416.2(e)(4), 416.2(h)(1)

Citation: 1300 hrs. While performing a scheduled 06D01 the following non-compliances were observed. 1) In the new building the doors were open and fecal material was found in the left hand corner as you enter the building from pigeons nesting above. 2) Green pipe found between kill room and storage trailer by establishment office is diverting water from boiler room and kill room entrance on to the ground under trailer. The water was brown and had a foul odor. There are also puddles of green water. 3) Boiler room floor was littered with debris, dirt, rocks and a white bucket containing unknown liquid. 4) Kill room bathroom was littered with used paper on the floor of bathroom stalls. Two smocks used by employees were found draped over garbage can and bathroom stall # 1.These insanitary conditions are in violation of 9CFR 416.1, 416.2(b)(3), 416.2(e)(4) and 416.2(h)(1). This document serves as written notification that your failure to comply with regulatory requirements could lead to additional regulatory or administrative action.

Regulation:

416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.

416.2(b)(3) Walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and other outside openings must be constructed and maintained to prevent the entrance of vermin, such as flies, rats, and mice.

416.2(e)(4) Provide adequate floor drainage in all areas where floors are subject to flooding-type cleaning or where normal operations release or discharge water or other liquid waste on the floor

416.2(h)(1) Dressing rooms, toilet rooms, and urinals must be sufficient in number, ample in size, conveniently located, and maintained in a sanitary condition and in good repair at all times to ensure cleanliness of all persons handling any product. They must be separate from the rooms and compartments in which products are processed, stored, or handled.
