Citation: At approximately 0920 hrs while performing procedure code 03J01 at CCP-1 Zero Tolerance check I observed 1 of the 10 randomly selected chickens coming out of the final rinse wash and prior to entering chiller was contaminated with fecal material. The contamination consisted of 2 green pasty smears inside the carcass near the vent opening. After corrective actions were implemented a re-test was performed by FSIS at approximately 0930 hrs and fecal was found a second time in 1 of the 10 randomly selected chickens. The contamination consisted of 1 green smear inside the carcass near the breast bone area. QC member and Evisceration department assistant manager were present at the time of the findings. This NR is linked to NR# 0049-2010-17823 issued on 6/9/2010. This is violation of 9CFR 381.65(e). A 03J02 procedure was performed. This document serves as written notification that your failure to comply with regulatory requirements could result in additional regulatory or administrative action.
