Citation: While touring the plant at approximately 1030 with SPHV Dr. the following noncompliance was found in the retail cooler. One Box containing 50 pounds of Ground beef, the label for this box included all necessary information except the establishment number in the inspection legend. Mr. was informed of this and immediately corrected the label making machine and began relabeling the affected products. Mr. then looked through the plant and found 200 pounds of sausage from the previous day that was also missing this information. This is a violation of 9CFR 317.2(c)(5) which states "Labels of all products shall show the following information on the principal display panel, An official inspection legend and, except as otherwise provided in paragraph (i) of this section, the number of the official establishment".
