Citation: On this date at approximately 1100 hours prior to the start of the slaughter for the day I walked through the slaughter floor to do an inspection of the area and observed the numerous areas of the walls in the kill area with blood, fat, and feces residue from previous day's operations. In the plant's SSOP Plan under section 5. Slaughter Floor it states, [redacted]." was informed of the SPS noncompliance with 9 CFR 416.2(b)(2). Regulation:
416.2(b)(2) Walls, floors, and ceilings within establishments must be built of durable materials impervious to moisture and be cleaned and sanitized as necessary to prevent adulteration of product or the creation of insanitary conditions.
