Citation: At approximately 01350 hrs. while standing at the end of the evisceration line, I observed a turkey in a large gray combo bin # 28 with yellow in color fecal on the outside wing area approximately 1/4 inch in size. I removed the turkey from the bin and informed Mr. [redacted] Plant Manager & Ms. [redacted] Q.C. of the non compliance. I applied USDA Retain/Reject tag # B28047913 on the combo of turkeys. After plant took immediate corrective action and the combo of turkeys were reworked and checked and found acceptable, regulatory control action was relinquished. The plant is not meeting 9 CFR 381.65(e). Past Similar NRs - Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: further plan action was either ineffective or was not implemented NR: 64-2010 dated 11/4/2010 This document serves as a written notification that your failure to comply with regulatory requirement(s) could result in additional regulatory or administrative action.

Regulation:

381.65(e) Poultry carcasses contaminated with visible fecal material shall be prevented from entering the chilling tank.
