Citation: At approximately 01350 hrs. while standing at the end of the evisceration line, I observed a turkey in a large white combo bin # 400 used to hold the turkeys that were being processing for the day. I asked Ms. [redacted] Q. C. to get the turkey out of the bin so I could have a better look at it. When Ms. [redacted] gave me the bird I noticed fecal ,yellow in color, on the back under the tail, the size was about 1 1/2 inch in length. I informed Ms. [redacted] of the fecal failure, and instructed her to stop the slaughter line I applied USDA-FSIS Retain/Reject tag t# 400 combo of the turkeys. After Ms. [redacted] had immediate corrective action in place, and birds were reworked regulatory control action was relinquished. The plant is not meeting 9 CFR 381.65(e). Past Similar NRs - Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: NR # 0059-2010-17310 is unanswered at this time NR: 59-2010 dated 10/27/2010 This document serves as a written notification that your failure to comply with regulatory requirement(s) could result in additional regulatory or administrative action.

Regulation:

381.65(e) Poultry carcasses contaminated with visible fecal material shall be prevented from entering the chilling tank.
