Address: 403 South Custer Ave, New Holland, PA 17557
Establishment No.: p01325

USDA Inspection Report: 28 Jul 2011

Code: 06D01
Violation: 416.3(c)

Citation: At approximately 1830 hours, while I was doing a walk through of the Evis department, I observed one of the red condemned barrels with holes in the bottom. Upon further investigation, that particular barrel was the only one with holes in the bottom. I lifted the barrel to move some of the wings inside of it, to get a better idea how big the hole was in size. Some of the wings fell unto the floor, due to the hole running approximately half the way around the bottom of the barrel. I attached an USDA Reject tag #B36 279287 and informed [redacted] (Evis supervisor) of the noncompliance. The barrel didn't meet the requirements of the regulations 9 CFR 416.3(c). The only check that I could find mention of the red condemned barrels by an establishment's team member was the pre-op check. This had been performed at 0335 hours and had the "Red Barrels Non Contact" section marked as "Accept".
