USDA Inspection Report: 21 Jul 2011

Code: 06D01
Violation: 416.2(d)

Citation: At approximately 1820 hours, while returning from the lunch break, I observed condensation on the pipes above the sink area. After further investigation, I observed multiple insulated pipes at the front of the Evis department with condensation. Some of the pipes were above Line #[redacted]'s line, oil gland cutter, and back up opener's stand. I immediately stopped the line and informed [redacted] (Evis supervisor) of the noncompliance. I observed him wipe down the pipes that were above the product and there was no product contaminated during the process. I then had the USDA inspector start Line # [redacted] I went down to the QA department and had a technician bring up the establishment's facilities check for the shift. There was a check performed at 1357 hours and the condensate absent category was marked "rejected". There was a comment added " condensation was present in the white and metal pipe notified floor worker and jose." Then another was performed after my findings at 1842 hours and again the condensate absent category was marked "rejected". Another comment was added "condensation was present in the white and metal pipe notified floor worker." Past Similar NRs - Previous Ineffective Plant Actions: Haven't received a preventive measure for this NR at this time. NR: 62-2011 dated 5/27/2011
