Establishment No.: p01325

USDA Inspection Report: 27 May 2011

Code: 06D01
Violation: 416.2(d)

Citation: At approximately 1607 hours, I was finishing USDA breaks on Line # [redacted] as I walked over to the sink, I noticed Multiple insulated pipes above Line # [redacted] (above the oil gland cutter to the opener) and the sink area with condensation on them. I looked around the department and observed no one that was wiping the pipes off with condensation on them. I immediately stop the line and informed [redacted] (Evis supervisor) of the noncompliance. While the line was down, I then observed that the new drip pan that was put under the pipe above the drop chute for Line # [redacted] only had one end attached to the pipe and the other end hanging down into the drop chute for Line # [redacted] I then informed [redacted] of this noncompliance. I started the line back up after maintenance adjusted the drop pan and the pipes above the line were wiped dry. At 1647 hours, I went to the QA office and asked the senior QA technician to bring up the establishment's facilities check on Plant View. At this time there had not been a facilities check performed.

Regulation:

416.2(d) Ventilation. Ventilation adequate to control odors, vapors, and condensation to the extent necessary to prevent adulteration of product and the creation of insanitary conditions must be provided.
