Citation: On Thursday, July 22, 2010 at approx. 0840 hours observed the following noncompliance with Inspection System Procedure 06D01. 1) Kill Floor, Knocking Pen, right side vertical stainless corner covering not properly secured/anchored to the wall, exposing a gap of approx. 1/2" to 2" the entire 5" length. 2) Kill Floor, hoist located at the entrance the barn, gray colored metal container for the chain observed rust and peeling paint. 3) Kill Floor, hoist located near the legging station, yellow colored metal container for the chain observed rust conditions. 4) Knocking Pen, corner metal flooring at the right side upon entering the knocking pen not properly secured/anchored, the corner appeared to be curled/lifted in this area. Informed [redacted] Plant Vice President of the noncompliance's verbally and in writing with this Noncompliance Record. Failure to meet these regulatory requirements can lead to enforcement actions as described in 9 CFR Part 500.4. You are hereby advised of your right to appeal this decision as delineated by 306.5 and/or 381.35 of 9CFR.


416.2(b)(1) Construction. Establishment buildings, including their structures, rooms, and compartments must be of sound construction, be kept in good repair, and be of sufficient size to allow for processing, handling, and storage of product in a manner that does not result in product adulteration or the creation of insanitary conditions.
