Citation: I performed SPS task verification and found the following :
(i) In live poultry receiving area, poultry (live birds) crates co-mingling with insanitary combo-dumpster with insanitary materials (for condemned in-edible materials)
(ii) Insanitary light fixtures (excessive dust and cobwebs)
(iii) Insanitary fan fixture/guard cover (excessive dust, cobweb and mold material)
Regulatory control action was taken by applying US reject tag B39795348 to affected areas. This non-compliance was shown to floor supervisor, [redacted] Failure to meet regulatory requirements would lead to further enforcement action.

Regulation:

416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.

416.2(b)(4) Rooms or compartments in which edible product is processed, handled, or stored must be separate and distinct from rooms or compartments in which inedible product is processed, handled, or stored, to the extent necessary to prevent product adulteration and the creation of insanitary conditions.
